Tropical Species
Tropical rainforests are located all over the world, being the Amazonian jungle among the most important examples, and they are the place in which tropical fishes and other marine species are to be found. When we talk about tropical fishes we are not referring to only one fish but to lots of them since there are many tropical breeds and species that can be divided into major categories.
Tropical fishes are usually organized in these fishes: Catfish, Characins, Cichlids, Cyprinds, Killifish, Labyrinth Fish, Livebearers, Loaches, Perches and Rainbowfishes. Each one of these groups has lots of species of its own, so as you can see, Tropical Fish can have an incredibly important number of specimens.
Tropical fishes are to be placed in comfortable and spacey tanks and aquariums since these places can offer them a stable environment and less contamination. They can be fed with frozen or balanced food, or with live food such as worms and insects. Some tropical fishes are carnivores, while there are also herbivores, omnivores and limnivores, which are the ones that feed on algae and microorganisms. When these fishes are ill or hurt, there are many ways to treat them. The most important thing is isolating the specimen to avoid further complications. You can bath them in water that contains specific medication or medicinal salts. You can also heat the water a little bit to kill parasites, and you can provide them with medicinal food, specially made to cure fish illnesses.
Taking good care of a tropical aquarium fish is always essential if you have them at home. Every type of fish need special care since they are delicate animals and if not treated properly can die quite easily. Remember that taking the time to feed them, changing their water and keeping their tanks clean will always pay off and allow you to enjoy the most beautiful aquatic animals at home.
