Suckermouth Cats fishes are truly diverse fishes that contain a particular characteristic: a mouth that has been naturally adapted for them to catch and swallow algae and plant organisms that appear in the water. Because of this they all have a truly unique look with curious mouths. They can vary in terms of size, longitude and, of course, colors. However, no matter which specie you finally choose for your own fish tank, you will find that these adorable fishes are extremely useful since they constantly help you to keep cleaner water and aquatic ambiences. Some of these fishes are normally referred to as the sucker fishes.
There are many species of Suckermouth Cats and among them we find the Otocinclus Catfish, the Gold Algae Eater, the Chinese Algae Eater, Royal Farlowella Cat, the Loricaria Cat and the Panda Garra just to mention a few. Their origins are completely different and while some of them are found in several regions of Southeast Asia, some others are found in South America, the Caribbean and other areas. They are peaceful fishes ideal for tranquil and non aggressive aquariums.
