As you surely know, filters are to be found in a large variety of possibilities. You have internal aquarium filters and external filters, large and small filters, filters that work through mechanical, biological or chemical methods, etc. The important thing is to find the best filter for your needs and you may even need to use more than one if your aquarium is a medium to large sized fish tank.
Filters can consist of several parts and elements and some of them may need to be replaced from time to time. Of course, keeping a constant control of this will not only assure you a better functioning but also a longer lasting live.
There is no need to say that each type of filter has specific parts of its own, but there are some others that are general to all of them. Among the most important ones we should mention cartridges, impeller rotors, siphons, strainers, sponges for bio filters, suction cups for internal filters, canisters, tube adapters, pipes, connectors, intake tubes, filter covers and many others. In most of the cases they are truly accessible items.
This allows you to change them whenever you need it, instead of having to maintain dusty and old parts that don’t work properly because of budget issues.
